We provide materials and medical aid for hospitals, rehabilitation centres and other health facilities. This includes mobile care in areas where people cannot afford hospital costs.

AEDP e.V. is an independent association based in Hanover, with an office in Lehrte. We help at every level of poverty reduction and relieve concrete need.
The association
Our mission
Africa is the world’s second-largest continent. It comprises many countries rich in natural resources and cultural heritage. At the same time, many people there live in great poverty.
The causes range from the lack of a stable economic structure to corruption and political instability, and on to droughts and floods. Limited access to education and health care hits the poorest communities hardest.
Reducing poverty therefore requires work, strong education and health systems, environmental protection and international cooperation. AEDP e.V. was founded to help at every level and to relieve concrete need.
AEDP e.V. is an independent association. In our work on the ground we cooperate with International Gospel Center Hannover e.V. and Triumphant Christian Center Accra.
What we do
Areas of work
Health, education and social work — gathered in one place.
Children and young people
Care and support for orphaned, abandoned and isolated children. Help for street children.
People with disabilities
Support for rehabilitation centres offering care and education, including where standard rehabilitation is out of reach.
Older people
Practical help and accompaniment for older people.
Education and livelihoods
Vocational training, community development and counselling so that families can improve their standard of living by their own efforts.
Environment and awareness
Programmes that strengthen awareness of health, nutrition, environmental protection and environmental care.
Involvement
Get involved
There are many ways to take part in AEDP. Office work in Germany and project work are kept separate.
In the office in Germany
At the local Christian congregation you can help with bookkeeping or in the secretariat.
In the projects
You can take part in the social services: health, children, rehabilitation, education, community development and the environment.
After your assignment, AEDP issues a certificate of activity.
